All about the Rebar

building-walls-2-5 (1)

Making our Sustainable Life built a STRONG structure with Faswall.  Here’s what they had to say about Rebar:

Why are Faswall ICCF Walls so strong?  Its all in the rebar and the cement. The composite, insulated blocks are wall forms, which are tied together with Rebar, and filled with poured cement.

“Generally, the blocks are stacked with a running bond pattern, which when filled with concrete results in a grid pattern, with a vertical column every foot, and a horizontal beam every 16 inches. If you missed it, you might want to read about the blocks themselves in a different post – CLICK HERE.  This concrete grid is reinforced with rebar…lots and lots of rebar!”
